Sometimes I forget that Im in the arena.
Ill be so locked in.
Titles aside, shes noticed how basketball has helped her as a person.
Sports are so important, she says.
I’ve grown so much from my freshman year to this year in my character.
Shes also had opportunities to partner with major brands, like her recent work withInvisalign.
I had braces when I was young.
Brooks is the first person she calls after a win or a loss.
If I have a bad game, Ill call her because shell hype me up.
I always have to shower.
It gets me in a new state of mind.
If Im not listening to myself, I like to play Adele.
She calms me down and turns me up at the same time.
I have to have a yellow one.
I go for comfort.
But when I get to the WNBA, Im going to dress fly but comfortable for sure.
Yes, I got my meditation habits from my grandmother.
She would meditate every morning and I was always like, Grandma, I cant do it.
I would fall asleep.
I really do visualize plays.
I see myself doing great things, making layups, making shots.
Since were on TV, I like to get dolled up.
Ill do mascara, lip gloss, put a little lipliner on, and foundation.
I dont do a lot of makeup, but I do one little pat down, then setting spray.
If you look good, you feel good, you play good.
Im a firm believer in that.
For me, going down on the court is like a performance, so you have to look right.
I use the NYXsetting sprayandMAC foundation.
I tell myself to use my nerves for good.
you’ve got the option to either psych yourself out or use the nerves to create energy.
